Shindo Karate is a multi-location karate school that focuses on discipline and respect. They have classes for all age ranges and skill levels.

What they needed was a business site that allowed them to promote their company and provide information about their classes. What they also needed was a dedicated page for each location that had details like location, class times, cost and information about the instructors. These pages needed to function as dedicated pages with links to the main site so they can be used as landing pages for advertising. There needed to be a number of call to action and conversion points so that they get people registering.

Lastly, an event and timetable scheduler was developed that allowed the display of upcoming events as well as each location's weekly timetable to best find the best time for the user. Even though each page had their own timetable, the client wanted a consolidated timetable that everyone could see all events and classes and then filter down by location if they wanted to.

The whole site was built in WordPress using a builder called Divi. This was a client request as they had a license and liked the interface. So everything had to be built using this builder and any customizations had to work with it as well. This was the difficulty with this project. As we never worked with Divi before, we had to build in it as well as learn it. It's not a builder we would recommend but we learned to adapt and work with the tools we had been provided.
