Pats Music Shop is an Australian family business and are Melbourne's leading stockists in an extensive range of musical instruments and specialize in Guitars, Pianos, String, Brass & woodwind, Drum & percussion, Keyboards and much more.

What they wanted was an online site where they could put up their large range of products but have it also split into two stores. They wanted each store to be similar but also slightly different but all be managed from one admin area. The solution was to use CS-Cart Multi-Storefront to get this done. This gave them the ability to split the site into two and each site was branded differently. On top of this, the design required was to highlight categories or groups of products rather than one specific product.

The website also has an API connection to 'Hal Lenard' which is a sheet music manufacturer that as they added new songs and songbooks, it was made available for purchase on the website. This had links to a printed copy to be sent as well as a digital version. The last unique feature added to the site was a connection to Zip Money Service (ie ZipPay and ZipMoney). As the products are on the higher end, a buy now and pay later option was needed. So the client selected Zip Money Service so a payment gateway had to be built to connect the site and the 3rd party service.

This site became increasingly difficult over time as the scope expanded to keeping in-depth documentation was key. The site needed maintenance and updates regularly to keep up with the new demands of the customer needs.
