Another year has come and gone and it’s time for the Christmas season. Apart from the normal family events, I have this year, I’m also going to watch the hobbit on Boxing day. This has been a tradition in our friendship group for the last 3 years and hopefully will continue in the future. Not only this I have a particularly hard Boxing day family get together but I’ll save that for a later post.

Seeing as Christmas is coming up it’s time to talk about time off. I won’t be posting anything new for the next 2 weeks. I’ll be back to normal on the 12th of January 2015…and speaking of 2015.

I have a few goals and a lot happening next year. First thing is that my work is moving the office to North Melbourne. This is a great step for the company as we will be moving into our own space and making it our own. We will be able to bring in a certain type of client that we haven’t in the past and expand the workforce to something impressive. The next thing is that I’m moving home. I’ve just finalized the paperwork by building a house and it will be complete in September of next year. This is a big step as it’s one of the largest purchases you will ever make but I’m excited to start this journey.

There are a few other goals I have but are now easier to explain how you know that we have got a house. With paying for a mortgage and so forth we would like to pay as much off as we can as soon as we can. With that, another goal is to expand my freelance business SpiderCat Studios. I’m hoping to expand to the point where we have a new website or design job per month. I’m not really looking for something that takes up to much time but something that can add a little bit more money in my pocket would be awesome. Apart from that, I’m really wanting to expand my knowledge in my field and learn more. What I’m wanting to do off the bat is to learn how to make apps. Apps are moving forward and a great way for companies and organizations to have information ready on people’s phones for them to contact and view product lines. So what I’m wanting to do is learn how to make these apps. After this, it will be back onto my animation project.

Now it’s reflection time… This year has been tough but a lot of good has come out of this year. The start of the year went well, work was great, I had a few freelance works and my relationship with my family was going good. The second half of the year wasn’t all that great, I got into a car accident that made me lose the car that I had for 7 years. I also had my appendix try and kill me but I had it removed and am all better now. Like I have said above that there has been good that has happened as well with my office moving and me buying a house. I’d have to say that the last 6 months have been hard but I’m looking forward to the next year.

Have a Merry Christmas and I will see you all in 2015
