This is something i’ve been 50/50 on for a while but i thought it was about time to do something. Starting soon i’ll be introducing sponsored content…
This won’t really affect my normal posting and a lot of what i’m currently post will still be free to view but there will be some new content coming that you will need to be a sponsor for. Price wise i’m not sure how much i’m going to sell them for or if i’m going to be selling it as a subscription or a one off fee.
Reason for change?
I has come to the point where i’m getting into more in depth R&D (Research and Development) and have found that the quality of the content i’m coming up with should be paid content…also i would like a house some day and this will help support that. Not only that i’m also reworking the branding of my site and content but first let me explain what collateral i have and how it all works.
As a web developer you need to have your portfolio online so when i started looking for work i build a site on joshuacurci.com.au. Since then i have gained many other sites over the years and also have my own web development freelance agency. Then when i started to look for another job i saw online that keeping a blog online is a great way for employers to get to know you to make interviews easier. Once i started the blog and started posting more and more i found that i was really enjoying it and that is was starting to take over the site. I then found myself in a decision making moment…do i move the blog or move the folio?
In the end i moved my folio to joshuacurci.com and kept the blog where it is. What this has made possible is to dedicate my blog page to only blog, news and other information and content that i like and find interesting. With this though i have found a few things hard, views for example, these have made the move a little more challenging but i think my blog site will come out better for it.
Well you just have to wait and see…but it is awesome
I’m going to be writing a blog post with an update of projects and work i’m doing but for now you can read an old post about it – http://joshuacurci.com.au/and-were-back/
Anyway till next time…
