There has been an SSL leak and your accounts are venerable!
This is the biggest hack/venerability seen on the internet for a long time.
Quick backstory on the bug, it is a leak in the SSL or what you would call the security certificate on a website. This is what protects you on sites that your purchase things from and also do social interaction. There has already been a site set up explaining what Heartbleed is – http://heartbleed.com/
A general rule is that any site that takes personal details or you buy products from needs to have passwords changed.
The following sites have been effected:
- All Internet Banking Sites
- All Google Accounts
- All Yahoo Accounts
There are many others but a few sites have confirmed that they have found the bug and fixed it before any leaked data was release. These include the following:
- Hotmail and Outlook
and many more
There are extensive lists all over the internet but a safe bet is to just change ALL you passwords
